On October 25, during a gala at the Warsaw Stock Exchange, winners of the 17th Sustainable Development Reports competition were announced. Organized by the Responsible Business Forum and Deloitte, the competition saw 86 publications entered. Grenevia received an award for its integrated report in the Debut category.
As highlighted by the organizers, the competition aims to promote ESG reporting - environmental, social, and governance issues - and to showcase best practices in each area. The reports were evaluated by a jury comprising experts in ESG, responsible business, sustainable finance, and related fields. Additionally, two special awards were given: one chosen by internet users in an online vote and another by the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
The increasing number and quality of reports submitted to the competition indicate that ESG reporting is gaining importance, not just due to new regulations and standards. Companies recognize that effectively communicating key sustainable development information is increasingly prioritized by investors and business partners. This is a positive and much-needed signal. On the one hand, there's a growing market awareness of the importance of reliable data, and on the other, ESG reporting is seen as a process that supports organizational management. This is especially significant as it will soon become a formal legal requirement and a binding responsibility for companies
Robert Adamczyk, chair of the Sustainable Development Reports jury, a board member of the Responsible Business Forum, and the chief environmental specialist at EBRD.
Grenevia submitted its Integrated Report for the year 2022, documenting the green transformation of its entire capital group. Teams from all its business segments - FAMUR, Elgór + Hansen, Projekt Solartechnik, and Impact Clean Power Technology - contributed to the report. Agata Maj, Grenevia's manager for sustainable development and ESG, accepted the award on behalf of the company.
Congratulations to all the awarded and distinguished companies!
